Located in Orlando, Florida on the University of Central Florida’s main campus,
the UCF Academy for Teaching, Learning and Leadership makes the work of the College of
Education more visible.
Three entrances lead into the grand Atrium where general information,
current events and news are highlighted on three plasma screens. To the right of Pegasus,
the names of our generous sponsors and supporters are displayed on glass stars. From this
central location, students, faculty, staff and guests move into learning, meeting and working
spaces located in the four-story building. Stairs, elevators, refreshments, and a copy machine
are conveniently located in the center of the first floor.
The Toni Jennings Exceptional Education Institute supports teaching and learning opportunities for the preparation and renewal
of exceptional education teachers. The Assistive Technology Lab (TA 102) has 15 universal access workstations that include
technology and software that supports communication for all – including students with disabilities. A control room (TA 107),
four diagnostic/assessment rooms (TA 104 – 106) and the Family - Community Room (TA 103) are also equipped to support faculty,

teaching and learning involving messy projects related to the creation of art, or scientific investigations.
The Partnership Pavilion (TA 130), a multi-functional area designed to accommodate large group instruction,
student orientations, public functions, and multi-disciplined activities, is a high-use, high-visibility area
located on the first floor. This space can be arranged with tables and chairs for 72, or 90 chairs set up in theatre style.
